Chung-Ang University is a private, non-profit, non-denominational, and coeducational institution, which enrolls approximately 25,000 students with a faculty of approximately 700 members. There are nearly 180,000 proud CAU alumni spread around the world. Respected as a national leader in providing the highest quality education, Chung-Ang University has been setting an innovative pace in higher learning. Fully accredited by the Ministry of Education, CAU offers undergraduate and graduate programs in a comprehensive range of fields, which lead to bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. This dynamic confluence of its components has helped the university gain top recognition nationwide from the Ministry of Education for the past five consecutive years.

As a major private institution, Chung-Ang is fully committed to helping its students envision their life goals and achieve their maximum potential. Founded in 1918, the university consists of 18 colleges established at two campuses in Seoul and Anseong. It has a graduate school, two professional graduate schools, ten specialized graduate schools, two university hospitals, and four attached primary and secondary schools. In addition, the university owns and operates the Agricultural Experimental Station in Anseong.
